In Counter+- 1.4, the privacy policy was re-written to be easier to understand. Nothing has changed though, there are still no ads, no trackers, and the app still doesn't share your information with anyone.
In short, there are no ads in Counter+-, it doesn’t share your data with developers or third-parties, and the app can function perfectly without an internet connection.
In iOS 14.5, Apple introduced a new feature called “App Tracking Transparency” which allows users to choose whether or not to allow apps to track you.
You may have noticed that Counter+- doesn’t ask to track you. That’s because; Counter+- doesn’t track you at all. As mentioned prior, there are no ads in the app, so you don’t have to worry about them tracking you either.
From the first launch of the app, to every-day use, your counters, settings, notepad, history and your other data is saved on-device. No third-parties or developers are able to see any of your data.
The only point where your data is shared is when you choose to send a counter to someone via the Share panel.
You can delete and reset your statistics, settings and counters from the Reset panel, available by pressing on the red minus icon on the dashboard or full-screen counter.
You can choose to save your deleted counters into the "History" panel to view later. You can easily delete your history, or stop saving deleted counters to history by toggling the setting, both in the Reset panel.
When you choose to reset your data, it immediately gets overwritten with default data, ready to be used again.
As mentioned above, Counter+- has no ads, nor does it track you and doesn’t share your data. This allows Counter+- to run perfectly without internet access.
The only points where you need an internet connection is when you access the website or share your counters with someone via the Share panel.
