Dashboard Redesign:
- Boxes surrounding your counters on the Dashboard now have a shadow cast on it.
- The notepad button has been swapped from a box, to an icon, giving it a cleaner appearance.
- The reset, compare & settings buttons now have a new icon.
- The time of day now will be displayed as the header of the Dashboard in a “Good Morning”, “Good Afternoon”, etc, format. This feature is not available on 4” displays (such as iPod touch & iPhone SE 1st generation) due to screen size limitations.
Settings Redesign:
- A new wallpaper has been added to the Settings menu.
- The toggles in Settings have been restructured into different categories to prevent confusion.
- The arrow that indicates another menu in Settings & its submenus has been updated & also now adapts to your selected theme.
New Features:
- Counter+- now has a widget! Add it to your home screen or Today View to view a counter (including its value & title) of your choice.
- The widget will update in real-time as you edit your counter from within the app.
- You can choose which counter will be displayed on the widget via a toggle in Settings called “Counter shown on Widgets”.
- Full-screen counters now have a formal mode, which will turn the wallpaper black, hide the notepad, reset and share buttons & increase the font size of your counter’s number.
- A button at the bottom of the full-screen counter called “Go Formal” has been added that will enable the formal button.
- If formal mode is already on, the “Go Formal” button will be replaced with a “Go Casual” button, which will revert the counter to its standard (casual) view.
- Full-screen counters are now actually full-screen, as opposed to being a floating panel in previous versions. You can dismiss them by tapping the back arrow at the top of the screen.
Bug Fixes & Improvements:
- Fixes an issue where your counter’s title would slant up if you resized the window or changed orientation.
- Fixes an issue where the app’s icon would appear distorted on some system menus.
- Fixes a minor alignment issue on the Dashboard.
- Fixes an issue where the text in the Privacy Policy would be almost unreadable in Dark Mode.
- Fixes an issue where the share button could appear hidden in full-screen counters when the blue theme was active.
- The header on full-screen counters are now the number of the counter (e.g; “Counter 1”, “Counter 2”, etc).
- The “What’s new in [version number]?” header in the “What’s new?” panel has been changed to “Welcome to [version number]!”.
- Changed the history icon in the Reset panel.
As a result of these new features, support for iOS 13 has been dropped. However, every device that can run iOS 13 can also run iOS 14; which is compatible with Counter+-. The Mac version will still support macOS Big Sur and later.
Counter+- will now operate on iOS 14.0 & macOS Big Sur and later.
- Added a new History panel, accessible from the Reset panel.
- You can choose whether or not to have Counter+- automatically save counters that you have just reset to the History panel. You can toggle this from the Reset panel.
- You can reset your History just as easily as anything else in the app by pressing "Reset History" in the History panel, or by pressing on the box labelled "History" in the Reset panel.
- The privacy policy has been re-written to be easier to understand. Nothing has changed though, there are still no ads, no trackers and the app still doesn't share your information with anyone.
- Corrected a bug where settings that can be toggled by a switch may not work correctly on its first use.
Introduces several bug fixes for issues originating in the Compare panel of Counter+- for iPad.
- Brought the upgraded saving engine for titles and notes to iOS after being added to the Mac in the previous version.
- Corrected a bug in the Compare menu where using the software keyboard to add/change a title would cause the screen to slide up too far.
- Corrected a bug where the counter title in the Compare panel’s right view would not disappear when the picker was set to “None”.
- Corrected a bug in the Compare menu where counting using the fourth and fifth counters via the Compare menu would unexpectedly load the title of the first counter.
- After selecting any option besides “None” on either side of the Compare panel, the text at the top will now change from “Select two counters to start comparing.” to “Currently comparing:”.
- When using Counter+- for the first time, or after resetting a counter, on macOS, your counter's titles will now read "Add a title by clicking here." instead of "Add a title by tapping here."
- When moving both toggles back to “None”, the text will read “Select two counters to start comparing.” again.
- When using a counter in full-screen mode, the text that previously read “Counter+-“ at the top-left of the panel will now read the number of your counter.
- Updated the change-log to make it easier to understand after being added to the Mac in the previous version.

This is an important update and is recommended for all users using Counter+- on the Mac.
- Fixed a major bug where your extra notepad and your counter's titles and notes would not save at all on macOS. To fix this bug, the code used for saving titles and notes have been rewritten. This rewritten code will be added to Counter+- for iOS in the next update.
- Made the change-log easier to understand.
- You can now change the font size of your counter’s titles. This is most useful for single-worded or emoji-only titles.
- You can now choose if you’d like to see the “What’s new?” panel whenever you update Counter+-. You can toggle this in the “What’s new?” panel or in Settings.
- Corrected a bug when selecting the "Plain Colour Picker" theme for the first time, the app may fail to show the correct background selected.
- Corrected a bug where selecting a panel in the change-log other than "Counter 1.3" would cause the app to crash on iOS & iPadOS devices.
- Corrected an issue on Macs where the help desk wouldn't automatically load into the Mac-specific help desk.
- Removed duplicate code from the themes panel, making it slightly faster to load.
